How recipes are developed

Recipes are developed from established regional techniques and reviewed for accuracy and food safety. A "Last tested" date appears only after the recipe has been cooked from the published text.

Updates and corrections

When we improve a recipe we change its "Updated" date. Found an error? Email hello@nomisto.com.

Photography

Some photographs on Nomisto are AI-generated food styling images, created to show what a dish looks like. We are progressively replacing them with photographs of our own cooking.

Ratings and reviews

We do not publish star ratings or reviews unless they come from real readers. We never invent ratings.

Nutrition

Nutrition figures are estimates per serving, calculated from ingredient weights using USDA FoodData Central values.
